Today's satellite phone comments from Cameron (01 March 8:50pm PST):

Cameron is only a few miles from Barrow. He should arrive there tomorrow. He is spending a night on the tundra in his tent, and his primary stove is working fine. He says that many loose sastrugi that were blown up by the previous days' strong winds made the going slow. Cameron will get an early start tomorrow, and after one more pull of the sled he will arrive safely at BASC.

Note: Sastrugi are sharp, irregular ridges formed on a snow surface by wind erosion.
