Today's satellite phone report from Cameron (12 feb. 8:05pm PST):
"Marched from sunup to sundown getting just over nine miles. The tundra, even in winter,
is a wilderness. Today I saw caribou, arctic foxes, and the dens of some kind of rodent
that survives beneath the snow during winter. I found places where caribou had used their hooves
to trample down the snow to get at the grasses beneath. I also found an abandoned sled half buried in snow.
What a great place. BASC only 7.7 miles away. I'll be there tomorrow."
