Message from Chuck:
I talked to Cameron today by satellite phone, and he is still at the the Iko Bay hunting hut. He had a problem with his camping stove that he was able to repair, but he discovered that his backup camping stove was also having problems. He is attempting to repair the backup stove. He is not willing to do any more than short day hikes without both stoves in working condition. The weather is so cold that traveling without two properly functioning stoves is too great a risk. He has a stove repair kit, and a host of spare parts with which to make repairs. He suspects the problem with the backup stove is that an O-ring in the stove pump has cracked due to the cold weather. There is a wood stove at the Iko Bay hut where he is staying, with plenty of wood for fuel, so he's in no danger of cold at the Iko Bay hut.
