From 1997 to 1998 I was part of the itnernational Manteño Expedition, building and sailing a 60-foot replcia of a pre-Columbian sailing vessel up the west coast of Ecuador, Colombia and Panama; the expedition was filmed and airs occasionally on the Outdoor Life Network.
